wheelchair access advocatesWho is Access Advocates? We are leaders in building compliance for people with disabilities, according the American’s with Disabilities Act. Simply put, we work to make sure ADA building compliance is followed to the letter of the law. There are 12 types of buildings we work with the most in making sure they reach these requirements. These are:

  • Hotel/motels: Making sure these places are accessible to anyone needing a place to stay
  • Timeshares: Making sure individuals with disabilities are able to take part in these without worrying whether their needs are met
  • Hospitals/medical centers: Making sure these buildings are easy to enter, maneuver and exit
  • Shopping Centers: Those with disabilities need to be able to do as much as they can on their own, this includes shopping
  • Banks: Being able to enter and exit a bank without hindrance
  • Restaurants: Individuals with disabilities need to have the ability to go to restaurants as easily as anyone else
  • Malls: Maneuvering through malls and shopping centers without worrying about hitting something or someone helps those with disabilities live as normal a life as they can
  • Airports: Being able to make it through the different aspects of an airport such as checking in, security and entering/exiting the plane are crucial
  • Parks and recreational areas: They need the ability to attend parks and other recreational areas without issues
  • Schools/universities:The ability to attend school and having their needs met such as wheel chair ramps or elevators is vital
  • Theaters/performing arts centers: We make sure building that house theaters and performing arts centers meet ADA building compliance
